With this trip to Oxford by train from London, you can learn about the history of the university city with the English-speaking tour guide.

We will meet up at London’s Paddington station at 9:15 am before catching a train to Oxford. The pleasant journey to the university city takes approximately one hour and a half.

Once at our destination, we will embark on a walking tour through the history city centre. This area is home to many prestigious university colleges. We will stop in front of some, such as Merton College and Christ Church College. While we contemplate the impressive architecture, we hear about the distinguished people who have had the privilege of studying in these renowned centres.

In the enormous complex of historic buildings and monuments that make up the University of Oxford campus, one of them will surely capture your attention due to its colossal dimensions. This is Radcliffe Camera, whose interior houses a precious library. This drum shaped tower also has a curious link to the famous book “The Lord of the Rings”

On our tour we will also go to one of the most enigmatic places in Oxford - the Bridge of Sighs. The name of this walkway has nothing to do with romance. The legend will surprise you…

After touring other interesting areas of the historic centre, we end our route at Oxford train station. On finishing the tour, you can opt between returning to London with your guide or remain in Oxford to see your favourite places once again. As your train ticket is open you can return whenever you feel like it!
