Tower of London Tickets

Discover the city’s history while exploring this historic Castle: visit the monarch’s chambers, the Royal Menagerie, where the wild animals were kept, find out where Thomas Moore and Anne Boleyn were executed and explore the prison where William Wallace was kept before his execution in 1305.

The Tower’s most famous room houses the Crown Jewels, a collection of ceremonial objects including the oldest Crown Jewel, St Edward’s Crown, which is used to crown English and British monarchs. Another impressive piece is the Imperial State Crown, which is worn by the monarch at the annual State Opening of Parliament and the Cullinan Diamond, the largest rough diamond found in South Africa. It also contains the Koh-i-Noor, the oldest diamond known.

Don’t forget to look for the six black ravens, the Tower of London’s most famous residents, which are kept in the Tower because according to an old legend, if the ravens were to disappear, the Tower would collapse, and with it the Reign.

Yeomen Warders

As well as guarding the Tower, the Yeomen Warders, also nicknamed the “Beefeaters” organize free guided tours of the Castle throughout the day. Every 30 minutes, the Warders organize 60-minute tours with tales about the prisoners, tales of intrigue, torture and a lot more interesting anecdotes. It's one of the most popular attractions in the Tower.

These visits take place every 30 minutes from 10 am (from Tuesday to Saturday) and from 10:30 am (Sunday and Monday).
