If you're in Greenwich, make sure you visit its most iconic building: the Old Royal Naval College. A royal historical palace on the banks of the Thames!
Old Royal Naval College Ticket
As you enter Old Royal Naval College, you'll feel as if you're travelling back in time to the Tudor era. Are you ready to discover Henry VIII's birthplace?
You can tour the palace to see what was once Greenwich Hospital on the instructions of Mary II. Although the sanatorium closed in 1869, you'll get the chance to admire its heritage in The Painted Hall, the most popular room.
Known as the "Sistine Chapel of the United Kingdom", the ceilings of this hall are considered an 18th-century masterpiece. You can also stroll through the Chapel and the iconic Victorian Skittle Alley.
You can't leave without visiting the buildings that the famous architect Sir Christopher Wren designed at the Old Royal Naval College to accommodate sailors returning to London.
