Cross the Channel and enjoy a fabulous day in Paris. Climb to the top of the Eiffel Tower, admire the views of Paris from the River Seine and discover the Louvre’s masterpieces.
Description
This day-long adventure begins bright and early in St Pancras Station at the designated time, where you’ll be given your Eurostar tickets and other passes.
Get on board the Eurostar train and cross the English Channel in just 2 hours and 15 minutes. You’ll arrive in Gare du Nord, the largest train station in the capital of France.
Upon arrival, a guide will be waiting for you to take you on a panoramic tour of the city, where you’ll admire the Arch de Triomphe, Champs-Elysées and Trocadéro, among many other beautiful sights.
Once you reach the Eiffel Tower, you’ll climb to its second floor, which stands 377 ft (115 m) tall. This observation deck offers a magnificent bird’s eye view of Paris, where you’ll be able to spot its most popular landmarks. If you want to see the views from the third level, you can purchase the ticket directly on the second floor.
Once you’ve admired the views over Paris, you’ll embark on one of the city’s famous "bateaux parisiens”. During one hour, you’ll relax and enjoy a 360-degree panoramic view of Paris from the River Seine as you sail past the Musée d’Orsay, Notre-Dame Cathedral, the Louvre Museum and the Eiffel Tower.
The last stop of the scenic cruise is the Louvre Museum, the most-visited museum in the world. With your fast-track entry ticket, skip the queues and take your time to discover the various collections, including the Museum’s masterpieces such as the Mona Lisa portrait and The Birth of Venus. The Louvre Museum is closed on Tuesdays, so if you book the tour on this day, you’ll visit the Musée d’Orsay instead, which features an impressive collection of Impressionist paintings.
After a superb day (about 12 hours in the city) exploring one of the most romantic cities in the world, you’ll head back to London in the evening from Gare du Nord. The Eurostar arrives in St Pancras after a grand total of 16 hours.
